------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Priory Dental Practice compete in the London Triathlon 2011
On Saturday 30th July members of the Priory Dental Practice team took part in the Virgin Active London Triathlon 2011. Amelia, Eloise and Anthony entered as a team in the Corporate Sprint event swimming, cycling and running respectively. They completed the distance in 1 hour, 52 minutes and 1 second. Natalie also competed in the triathlon, in the Sprint distance which required her to swim 750m, cycle 20k and run 5k alone. She completed the event in 1 hour, 56 minutes and 15 seconds. This is the first in a series of triathlons, which Priory Dental Practice has entered, which is in support of Help for Heroes.
Congratulations to Anthony, Natalie, Amelia and Eloise for their fantastic effort and results. Good luck to Anthony for his next event, which will be at Hever Castle in the Castle Triathlon Series in September 2011.

Team Comments:
"Despite my nerves almost getting the better of me Saturday morning, the feeling of accomplishment when I handed the timing chip to Eloise, made it all worthwhile." – Amelia
"I enjoyed it much more participating in a team rather than on my own as I had done last year. It was great only having to do the bike leg and being able to cheer on the other team members. I am looking forward to doing another team event." – Eloise
"First time I've done a team triathlon – really enjoyed it. Great to work together especially with such a good cause in mind. A big thank you to my team members for doing the really challenging parts and making my bit easy." - Anthony
"I had a great time this year. It was fun, exciting, a lot of hard work but well worth it. Anybody who is thinking about doing a triathlon I say just do it. You'll be surprised at how exhilarating you feel crossing the end line, even when you're on your last legs! It was a shame I couldn't get to see and support the other team members (as our start times coincided) but it was great to see them cheering me on, especially when I had one last lap on the run and felt my legs were giving up on me." – Natalie |
